The pirates of life

As Kylie otherwise known as the thieving cat, crawled up to the top window of the governor's private treasury, she quickly began to cut a circle into the glass roof of a mansion. A circle small enough for her to move through unnoticed. As she landed on the white marble floor she saw the treasure she had be looking for. She examined her surroundings. She noticed a male pirate entering the room from behind her.She frowned pulled out her sword and  she held it's tip to his throat, "Don't you move, I've been looking for this treasure for a long time, and there is no way I'm leaving it to a creep like you." she hissed

The man smirked and lifted her sword away from his neck. He began to speak "Tough words, but can you back up them up?". This upset kyle lunged forward and a sword fight begun. As the swords clashed, Kylie recognized the features of this man more easily.As he did hers. Kylie had her blonde hair in a ponytail under a bandanna with light blue eyes. The man had brown spiked hair with fierce eyes that had a  yellowish orange tint.

In the middle of the fight Kylie heard the footsteps of guards running toward the treasury. She quickly flipped back and tried to carry the treasure out of the room. The man grabbed one of the handles of the chest and asked her "Why are you so desperate to get this... A pretty girl like yourself shouldn't be living this lifestyle"

Kylie frowned, "I need to survive you bilge rat!"

The man saw that this girl was stubborn, so he sighed and replied before grabbing her and throwing her over his shoulder "you cover my back now and I'll get you enough gold to do far more then survive "

Kylie blushed, confused about the weird position she was in. She couldn't argue at this point since guards had surrounded them.

The man quickly jumped over the guards and began to make a run out of the great mansion. Kylie pulled out her pistol, and shot at objects causing clamor for the guards.

The man smirked, this girl was clever.As he was running to the harbor, he noticed a crowd of pirates.

The man placed kylie down.Kylie looked around and yelled "Simon" looking for her first mate. She found him with his dark skin and scar across one eye, covered by his long black spiked hair. The man whispered something in Kylie's ear. Kylie looked at Simon and spoke"Crew this man said he has a ship we should follow him."

Simon growled, "Should we trust him?"

Kylie heard the sound of guards and spoke"We have no choice! Everyone move now!"

The crew without question followed the captains orders and they followed the man to his ship. Kylie heard a gunshot. She turned around froze.The man who led them onto the ship saw the girl looking terrified as she was looking at the corpse.

The man grabbed a rope on the ship and as the ship was beginning to move he swooped down and held kylie in his arms.

They landed on the ship with a thud.

Her first mate Simon quickly pulled her off of him and asked  "Are you alright captain Kylie ?."

"Yes I'm alright." she nodded

The other man was astonished, "Wait, your captain Kylie ? The thieving cat?"

Kylie sighed, "yes and you are?"

"Captain Edward Knight. An honer to meet the legend herself" he grabbed her hand and kissed it gently.

Kylie blushed and Simon hit him hard on the head...

Kiylie sighed, "My first mate Simon is very protective..."

Simon growled... "Captain Kiley ... Who's ship are we on?..."

Edward smiled, "Welcome aboard 'The Wild Dragon' my crew and I live here... And until we get you a nice new ship, your home as well... My home is yours Miss Kiley..."

Kiley hissed, "CAPTAIN! It's CAPTAIN Kiley to you!.., I appreciate your generosity... But you will address me as captain got it!"

Edward was spooked, but he then sighed, "I understand... Shall you and your first mate join me in my corridor for studying the living arrangement..."

Kyle nodded and with Simon following behind...

After an hour of discussion it was decided, kiley’s crew would be sleeping alongside the crew of Edward's. Meanwhile kyle  would sleep in a bedroom next door to Edward's room.

So Kiley quickly spoke to her men, "For the time being we will be living on this ship until we can afford our own ship... I know it's been a long and tiring day, so go to sleep ..."

"Yes Captain!" the men said with a nod...

As Simon led the crew men down to there lodgings... Kylie  felt a hand grab her shoulder and heard the sound of a drunk older man, "You... *hic* maybe the only *hic* girl that I've been attracted to *hic* in a long time..."

Kylie  frowned and tried to punch this man as hard as she could... But the man quickly grabbed her hand and pins her to the ground... And because Kylie was weak from being tired, she couldn't fight back... The man then hiccuped, "How about a kiss?"

Kylie grew angry and kicked him in the groin as hard as she could... The man was down for the count...

Edward suddenly came up and said, "I'll put old miller there into the brig for doing that... I apologize for his actions, but at the same time I must commend you for how well you managed to stop him..."

Kylie slightly smirked, "I'm not called the 'cat' pirate for nothing..." she said before heading to her room.

Edward began to throw old miller into the brig and began to think, "I wonder... There's more to this girl... I want to know..."

Later that evening, Edward suddenly heard a beautiful sound coming from the deck... He walked out in his pajamas and quietly looked on deck... To see Kylie singing a lullaby. She wore a beautiful long white nightgown in the moonlight at the very front of the deck. He was in aw by her beauty and the beauty of her voice.

Simon the whispered to him as he was walking back inside said, "The captain sings every night... All of our crew members usually wait around waiting for her to sing in order to get any sleep..."

Simon walked down to the area where he was sleeping, leaving Edward alone to watch and listen to the beautiful voice...

Once Kylie stopped singing he said, "You have a very beautiful voice CaptainKylie ..."

Kylie  turned around spooked, "How long have you been there?..."

"Not long at all... I was hoping you'd sing more if not for me for all of the crew?..."

Kylie shook her head, "I don't sing well by request... Besides, my voice is worn out..."

Edward didn't know if this girl was lying or telling the truth... But he decided to let her go to her room, but before she left, he said, "By the way... I think you look beautiful in the moonlight..."

Kylie lightly blushed before saying, "Good night Captain Edward..." and walked back to her room.

The next morning, Edward walked onto the deck, and him and his crew were shocked to see Kylie and her crew already working on at least cleaning the ship.

When Kylie turned and saw Edward and his crew, she stated, "This is the least we can do for your hospitality..."

Edward smiled, "Well were about to make port in the Hispanic island a few kilometers away from Tortuga... I have a unique treasure to collect, and I believe Captain kylie that you can help me distract the authorities, you'll get your share of course, but note I insist you help me?..."

Kylie smirked, "Of course... I can show you old fashioned pirates, what a woman pirate is able to do..." she said as the wind blew her beautiful blonde hair back... Pointing toward their destination.

As Edward and Simon escorted Kylie to a large party that all the guards had been drinking at... Kylie stepped forward, everyone moving out of her way, she wore a beautiful red silk Hispanic dress that she got from robbing a merchant ship not long ago. She also wore black pantyhose with red dance shoes, along with black lace gloves, a rose in her hair, and a black mask to make sure she wasn't recognizable.

As the music played she began to dance a beautiful Hispanic dance in perfect sync with the beats of the song. All the men and even women could not be pulled away from such a beautiful sight as what performed before them.

Edward couldn't help but blush and watch this girl during her song, but once the song was over, he and Simon began to head towards the mansion where the treasure they searched for would be at, luckily all the guards on the island were to busy paying attention to kylie that getting in was easy... Edward smirked and said to Simon, "I got to hand it to her, she is something else for sure..."

Simon said seriously," she was raised on the streets of tortuga, she knows all the ways of a pirate and thief, hell she actually raised and taught most of our crew members..."

"She must of had a tutor before her though..."

Simon sighed, "She did... But one day his mind and heart snapped after she rejected him, as he was only 2 or 3 years older than her... He had been hunting her down for years trying to win her back... She wouldn't tell me any more than that, due to the fact she wanted to protect me and the crew... For this man... The captain claims, is a mad man through and through..."

Edward frowned, "Will she be alright then by herself in the dance area?..." he asked concerned..."

Simon signed, "Most likely, we'd know whether she wasn't or not, besides the party she drawing attention to will be unable to allow any one to take her away..."

Edward nodded as before the two entered the jewelry room... And Edward immediately cut open this one glass case containing a small pendant with a message inside... He and Simon also grabbed other pieces of jewelry, well as much as they could carry out of the mansion toward the ship...

Meanwhile as Kylie danced with multiple men, one man grabbed her hand and as he pulled her close, he whispered, "Kylie... Your as beautiful as ever..." Kylies's eyes grew wide as fear began to enter her as she recognized the voice with ease, "Captain Lunes!?..." she said quietly... Now Lunes was scared all around with silver eyes underneath his red mask, his black hair was spiked still while he wore a black and red cape with a suit of black and white...

Lunes smiled as the two danced to not draw suspicion toward themselves...Kylie then quietly hissed, "Why are you so determined to  follow me!?"

"I'd follow you to the end of the world to win your love... I gave you golden roses many times before in hopes to win your love, but since it does not work to send them to you by letter, I decided to give them to you personally..."

kylie frowned, "Thanks for the offer, but I've got a crew to lead... And since your not part of it you can forget it!" but as he pulled her close he whispered in her ear softly, "You my rose better watch yourself before your whole crew will die a slow and painful death..."

Kylies eyes grew wide and shook with terror... But as the song ended, Lunes kissed her cheek and handed her the golden rose, "I will win Kylies ... You will be mine one day..." and he turned and left... Kylies almost fell to the floor... But as one man caught her before she fell... They suddenly all noticed that her mask had fallen off, and they suddenly recognized her...

"The Cat Pirate!" a guard yelled, but before anyone could hold her down, she quickly jumped off the ground over a large set of guards hoping the boys finished grabbing their treasure...

Simon and Edward were waiting aboard the ship when they saw gunfire and then saw Kylie running toward the ship... She yelled, "Start moving!"

Edward yelled back as Simon began moving the ship out of port, "Are you crazy!? You won't make it in time!"

Kylie had a short dress on so it was easy for her to jump over obstacles...  She even climbed onto the roofs of nearby buildings praying to make it aboard on time... So when she saw the ship in sight, she ran at her highest speed possible as she heard her crew calling her, she finally jumped off the last roof and began to almost fly toward the ship...

All of Edward's crew were certain that she wasn't going to make it... But to Kylie’s crew... As they expected... Everyone was in aw to see she landed right in the middle of the ship... And as she stood she pulled out her bandanna from her shoe and quickly put it on saying, "I'm not called the cat pirate for nothing..." as she smirked and turned toward everyone... She climbed up onto the top of the main mast and heard her crew screaming and applauding her name... Even Edward nudged his crew to recognize the greatness of this pirate captain.

Later after a long night of celebration, Kylie awoke in the middle of the night once again and sang at the front of the ship... Her voice shook as she looked at the golden rose that Lunes had given her...

Edward woke up and walked towards her and noticed the rose... But was shocked to see her anger in throwing it into the sea...

He stepped forward and asked, "Are you alright?... What was up with the rose..."

Kylie turned revealing she actually had been slightly crying... She frowned, "it's nothing, a man from the party gave it to me and I just didn't want to think about tonights adventure anymore..."

Edward frowned and walked towards her, "your lying... Something happened... Tell me what happened..." he ordered

Kylie frowned, I told you I didn't want to talk about it!..." she began trying to walk away, but Edward grabbed her hand and pulled her toward him saying, "Simon told me a little about your past... I know about the mentor... I know you lived on the streets, I know you practically raised your crew... What I want to know is what are you protecting everyone from!?"

Kylie frowned, "Why should I tell a complete stranger my life problems!?"

Edward paused, she was right, she didn't know anything about him... So why would she talk to him... He then took off his vest to reveal a large gashing scar across his chest...with smaller claw like scars remains on one side of the body...

Kylie at first blushed seeing this guy shirtless and having a good abs to spare. But when she noticed the scars she grew curious as Edward began to tell his story...

Edward lived in a wealthy house a long time ago... He lived with his mother and father and was very well rounded about the aspects of his life. On his tenth birthday, his mother and father decided to present a famous wild cat trainer know as "The Tamer"

Edward couldn't remember exactly what he looked like, but he remembered walking toward the cages of the young teenage lions admiring their beautiful fur coats, when suddenly he heard his mother and father scream in pained... He quickly ran around toward the sound, to see his mother and father, heavily mutilated...

When the Tamer came back with a teenage lion he gasped, "I'm sorry for your loss boy... But don't worry... You'll join them soon..."

Edward turned toward the man who now carried a giant thick knife and let the lion at least scratch a large part of his shoulder... But before killing Edward, the man overheard the sound of guards coming toward them...so he simply left a deep cut across the chest and said, "you will never find me... " before disappearing

The guards arrived and quickly bandaged his wounds as Edward asked "Will you find him?.." and even though they assured him that they would find the culprit who did it... They never even tried...

"That was when I decided to become a pirate after I decided to disobey the law... I've still been searching for that monster since..."

Kylie frowned, "Man... That's deep... I only left after... After he tried to.. Well, I wont say living on the streets were rougher than that, but on days sometimes it was excruciating... My mentor helped heal me on days when I was severely injured...  But the day when he snapped and lost his mind, he tried to take me far away from the streets into the caves where he thought we would be secluded in... I managed to get away and with a group of my friends we managed to grab a ship and sail away... Then becoming pirates..."

Edward sighed, "Well now that you know me better, can't you tell me what's bothering you?..."

Kylie frowned, "Nope... Gaining my trust is a hard thing to do... Just ask Simon..." she said before walking away toward her room...

Edward sighed and simply thought, "I can't leave her like this... I can sense something wrong... I don't know why but I feel it's my duty to protect her..."

The next morning Edward called Simon into his corridor and asked him, "Do you sense something is wrong with your captain now?..."

Simon sighed, "I admit she does seem more anxious than normal... She told me about last night, so I figure your asking me about how to gain her trust?..."

Edward sighed, "I understand it's not my buisness to pry, but as she is now currently living here, I feel I should try to help..."

Simon sighed, "Then I'm sorry to say that even I haven't gained her complete trust... Because she lived so long by trusting only herself... The idea of trusting others hasn't been processed yet..."

Edward sighed, wondering what to do now... When suddenly the two heard a yell screaming, "A ship is heading straight toward us!"

The two ran onto deck as kylie began yelling orders... Telling all the men to stay below deck...

This order surprised the two... So they decided to stay put and not make a noise, hoping to figure out what was going on...

Kylie saw the other ship come to a halt as she frowned to see Lunes...

He spoke first... "My Kylie... Did you not like my rose?..." he asked

As soon as Edward heard the word "Rose" he realized she encountered this man last night... But he didn't know who he was...

Kylie frowned, " Leave now Lunes... Or I will..."

Suddenly Lunes cut her off, "Will what? Kill me? My dear elegant rose... You forget that I taught you how to fight and survive... You can't hurt me and you know it... That's why I know my threats to kill all of your precious crew members would continue to work... Since you know that you can't save them from my wrath and protect them from entering Davy Jone's locker!" Lunes said as he grabbed Kylie's hand clearly seeing the terror in her eyes.

Kylie tried to fight back but Lunes quickly over powered her...

Edward was about to run out, but Simon ran out first, trying to fight Lunes as hard as he could....

While the fight went on Edward pulled her to safety... But then they heard the sound of a sword going through skin and suddenly saw Simon stabbed by Lunes.

Lunes began to walk onto his own ship as Kyliequickly ran to Simon and began tending his wounds... But the final words she heard before Lunes was lost behind the fog his ship was passing through, he said, "I told you already Kylie , I WILL win you, or everyone you care about will die!"

Kylie shook in fear as she heard those words... Edward quickly went down to where the crew was at and told them to hand him the medical supplies they stole from a doctor... And quickly ran to Kylie’s side helping her tend Simon's wounds...

Then Edward heard the most shocking words he ever thought would come out of Kylie's mouth, "I should have given in... No one would have gotten hurt because of me..."

Edward exclaimed, "You can't be serious! Kylie you saved many lives from life of death because you didn't give in to that man... Your saving Simon right now!"

Simon chuckled, "He's right captain..."

Chara began to tear up... Suddenly the whole combined crew came up to try and support her...

Chara began crying even more... Grateful for her loving crew of friends... 

A good amount of time had passed since the incident and nothing had occurred since... It was for once peaceful, always nice... But as a pirate it can definitely bore them to death.

Kylie sighed as Edward came up from behind and asked, "Bored are we?..."

Kylie nodded "There hasn't been an island in sight and I'm not sure that we have gotten any closer to that treasure we discovered in the pendant..."

Edward smirked, "By the way... It looks good on you..." he said remembering the day he decided to tell her about the message inside and day he gave it to her.

It was a few hours after Simons injury... Edward let Kylie stay in his corridor for a while to have a warm drink to relax her...

Kylie sighed, "Let me tell you... Being a female pirate is a tough challenge..."

Edward simply smiled, "I need to give you your share of the treasure from the other night..." he had decided the pendant with the map inside so that she would be with them long enough to find this next treasure, one that supposedly according to legend would be fit for a king...

When he handed her the pendant and reveled the map inside... Kylie was shocked to see him actually WANTING to work with her after what had happened... So she was lightly blushing, unknowing why this was the case...

Edward had placed the pendant around her neck and simply smiled... 

Kylie blushed lightly, she didn't know why she was blushing so much... She simply replied, "Thank you Captain Edward... I truly appreciate this gift you gave me...

Suddenly from above a man from Kylie’s crew yelled, "I see it! I see the island!"

Kylie yelled up to the crows nest, "Excelent Mr. Pájaro..."

Edward smiled, "we should have a celebration for arriving here after waiting so long..."

One of his men smirked, "Are you sure you don't just want to dance with Captain Kylie... Since you missed many opportunities... We literally had a party every night these past few weeks!"

Edward blushed hard as Kylie simply chuckled

Simon waddled onto deck and as soon as Kylie saw him she ran to him hugging him tightly, "Your ok!"

Simon sighed, "I'm still in slight pain... Especially since your crushing me captain..."

Kylie quickly let go... "Sorry... But I say we also celebrate your return to the world tonight!" she smiled

Simon smiled, "why not..."

Edward stood there jealous... But also noticed Simon walking toward him... He then noticed that Simon lightly whispered, "She was never this cheerful till you gained her trust..." and began to walk away...

That was when Edward realized that Kylie was smiling and laughing, she looked beautiful in his eyes...

So once they landed on the coast, most of the crew members were preparing for the party... Simon knocked on Kylie s door and saw her in a beautiful outfit...

He smiled, "You look great captain..."

"Thank you Simon..." Kylie smiled

He decided to tease her, "Dressing nice for captain Edward are we?..."

Kylie blushed, "I wanted to not waste all those lovely outfits you guys got me on every birthday...."

"Right..." Simon smirked and extended his arm for her to grab...

Edward smiled and laughed with his crew until everyone was in aw at Charas beauty yet again...

Edward blushed but then heard one of his musicians say, "Now that captain Chara is here, let us begin the dance!"

They suddenly played upbeat dance music and everyone began to dance. Chara was spun all around so Edward tried to get to her... But everyone else in the entire crew got to her first...

So once the song ended, he was cursing under his breath...

But suddenly they asked Kylie to sing a slow love song... So he took the opportunity... So once Kylie began to sing Edward quickly grabbed her hand and began to spin her around...

Kylie looked at him and began to blush hard he seemed to be so forceful... And when they finished their beautiful dance... They looked deep into each others eyes... Leaning toward each other as if to kiss each other...

When suddenly a gunshot was fired in the air... There stood Lunes with a look of absolute fury in his eyes...  He spoke in an evil voice, "You!... Your the one trying to take my Kylie away from me!"

Kylie began to grow scared again, "Lunes..." but to her surprise Edward stood infront of her, Kylie is one of the best pirate captains in the world, a free spirit through and through... And since she doesn't want to go with you she won't.... Not while I'm here..."  Edward had his eyes narrowed, grabbing his sword at the ready...

Kylie blushed, "Edward..." she finally snapped out of it and stood infront of Edward, "Everyone step back... I'm going to fight..." she said seriously while pulling out her cutlass in sync with Lunes doing likewise...

Edward was shocked, but before he could say anything Simon put his hand on his shoulder... "Just wait... let her fight..." He said as if to say give her a chance

Edward was hesitant... But he saw that Kylie was prepared to face her fears...

Kylie was the first to charge at her highest speed, beginning the most intense sword fight any of the men had ever seen. The speed of the clashing swords was unbelievable... When suddenly Lunes ducked down turned to her back and hit the back of her neck hard... Kylie passed out after saying, "Sorry men... I've lost..." landing into Lunes arms...

Edward yelled, " Kylie!" he quickly ran after the two but was hit by Lunes quickly afterwards... Causing Edward to fall behind

Lunes yelled, " Kylie is mine! I will not have anyone steal her from me ever again!" before disappearing into a fog formed from the sea...

Edward got back up and saw not trace of them at first, but then saw the footsteps of Lunes... Edward frowned, "Everyone! We will follow this trail to find our captain Kylie... It will be challenging, so those afraid to fight will stay here..."

But suddenly, all of the men at the same time yelled, "Bellay that!"

Simon smirked, everyone wanted to help save Kylie in any way possible...

Edward smiled, "Alright men... Onward!" with everyone cheering in unison

Meanwhile in a cave far of in the middle of the island, Kylie was chained to the ground trying to try and get out of her chains, but to no avail... Lunes simply watched her with a smile, "You won't be leaving me ever again Kylie... You know that..." he began to walk toward her with a smile and reached out for her cheek, but Kylie quickly spit in his face before hissing, "I never will be yours, why can't you get the fact that I don't love you! You once were a man who cared for all... Now I can't recognize the man infront of me at all... There for Lunes... I state for the world to know... I pray that Davy Jones himself will take you to live in his locker for eternity!"

Lunes frowned and placed both his hands on her cheeks, "You say anything like that to me again... I will kill that boy..." his eyes were dull, he was being dead serious.... Which Kylie grew terrified, "l-leave Edward out of this!"

Lunes backed away, "Edward... That's the scurvydog's name ehh?..." Kylie realized that she made a mistake... And looked down sad...

Lunes smiled sweetly, "don't look so down my rose... You will never see him again anyway... So there's no need to worry..." as he lifted her head by the chin up and began laughing like a mad man as he turned away... Kylie didn't know what to do...

 Edward and the other men continued to follow the trail of footprints, until they entered the denser part of the forest... It was going to be a far greater challenge now to find Kylie.

Simon finally stated, "We don't need to lose any crew members to this jungle so I will represent Kylie 's crew and continue searching with Captain Edward... Everyone else should head back to the ship and wait for further instructions..."

Hesitantly the crew agreed, they knew Simon was right and didn't want to be in the way...

Edward began to ask, "I can tell you care deeply about Kylie... But I don't know your story... How did you two even meet?.."

Simon sighed before preparing to climb a tree in order to look out for any possible locations for Kylie and Lunes could hide in... And once he pointed the direction to a cave deep in a mountain at the center of the island, he began to explain more about his as well as Kylie 's past

They both grew up in the streets of Tortuga, though Kylie was much more skilled at surviving according to Simon... One day Simon was searching in the trash behind a local pub for any possible scraps of food... When Kylie came up to him and said, "Oi matey, you look starved... I know it ain't much, but have this loaf of bread with my compliments... I stole it from the baker about an hour ago..."

Simon was shocked for two reasons, 1) this was a girl, younger than him, who can easily steel from shops. 2) She was giving me her spoils... So he said to her, "I'm not sure that I deserve any, let alone, a whole loaf of bread..."

Kylie smiled, "Fine then we'll split it..." and as she split the loaf and handed half the loaf to him she said, "Name's Kylie by the way... And you?.." Simon smiled and replied, "Name's Simon..." and when he saw Kylie had extended her hand toward him, they shook hands..

Kylie then noticed that some older pirates were heading toward them so the two quickly got into fighting positions, and helped one another in combat.

After the fight, while Simon had many cuts and bruises, Kylie seemed literally untouched! So Kylie had begun to tend to Simons wounds and singing quietly...

Simon smiled, "you have a beautiful voice Miss Kylie "

Kylie smiled, "Thanks you ain't a bad fighter at all... Worthy of being called a first mate in my opinion..."

Simon smiled, "As long as you are my captain I'd gladly fight along side you..."

The two began smiling and laughing together all night

Simon sighed, "She was and still is my best friend.... But a few months later though... She no longer could laugh like before... Especially when she called among her friends to form a crew..."

Edward frowned... "I understand now why you are such a good devoted first mate..."

Simon smiled as they began to see the cave where Kylie was being most likely held... "Here we are... You ready?..." Simon asked

Edward smiled, "You know it..."

Inside, Kylie was forced into a wedding dress and was being chained infront of what looked like an alter... But as she at first smiled happy to see them, she suddenly cried, "Look out!"

The two suddenly turned around to see Lunes about to strike so they quickly dodged the sword. Lunes spoke, "leave us now... Or perish..."

Edward frowned and pulled out his sword and said with his eyes narrowed, "Why would I ever leave anyone with a scurvy bilge rat like you?..." Simon likewise pulled out his sword and said, "You have hurt my best friend... I would never leave her too..."

Kylie simply whispered, "Edward... Simon..." she even started crying but now tried to pick the locks on her chains with a little pin that was part of the dress...

Meanwhile, Edward and Simon in sync swung their swords at their highest speeds to try and hit Lunes... But Lunes was so quick that not a scratch was laid on him... Simon frowned, until suddenly Lunes came up behind him and hit him so hard, Simon hit the stone wall and passed out

Kylie yelled, "Simon!"

Edward frowned as Lunes turned toward him and spoke, "... Edward right?..."

Edward simply stood there with his eyes narrowed...

Lunes smirked, "You and Kylie were looking for a treasure yes?..." he stepped aside to reveal a large pile of gold worthy of a king!

Edward didn't move and Kylie sat there wondering what Lunes was getting at... Until she heard him say, "If you leave us, it's all yours... You won't share with anyone..."

Kylie simply sat there looking at Edward... Somewhat expecting him to pick the treasure over her... Like all other pirates...

Her Edward spoke, "The only treasure I need is the one your trying to keep me away from... I only even looked for this treasure to just be with her..."

Kylie looked up surprised, and now viewed that she needed to fight... So finally after the lock had fully been picked, she cut the wedding dress to the point where she could move freely.

"Lunes..." she said as Lunes turned around shocked to see Kylie standing there with her cutlass at the ready... But he frowned, "Fine... if I can't have you... No one can..." he quickly charged at her to attack her, but Edward beat Lunes to the punch blocking Lunes's sword, "Not on my watch you bilge-rat..."

Kylie flipped over them and had her sword at the back of Lunes's neck and said, "I told you that I'd never be yours..."

Simon also came up from the side pointing his sword toward Lunes's stomach, "We all warned you..."

Edward was the final one to say, "Now it's time for you to go to Davy Jones where you belong!"

As soon as Edward spoke, everyone thrust there swords into Lunes... Leaving a huge blood pool before them... As Lunes fell he said, "I see now... And I'm sorry..." he fell with a thud.

Kylie breathed heavily and as she saw Simon and Edward looking at her she began to cry and hugged them tightly... Edward and Simon simply smiled and hugged her back tightly...

When they all returned to the ship carrying the large amount of treasure with them... All the crew members ran to hear the story of what happened... And as Simon explained all that happened... Edward and Kylie sat next to each other on the beach, looking at the moon...

Edward smiled and placed a beautiful tiara found in the treasure and placed it on her head, "...you truly are my most prized treasure Kylie..."

Kylie blushed and held a beautiful gem that she placed around Edward's neck before whispering, "... And you are mine..."

Slowly the two leaned toward each other and gently kissed each other on the lips before suddenly the entire crew was in an uproar, "Drinks for the new couple!" Simon said with a smile...

"Simon..." Kylie smiled as Edward lifted her up and began to dance with her

The Melody Cat

The guards led a beautiful young girl with beautiful long blonde hair toward the castle. Her beautiful hazel eyes looked at the guard as he said, “we are almost there miss Chara.” As Chara was brought before the castle she began to shiver in fear… ‘What if the princes dislike me?... I’m 18 but still will they treat me like the others do?… After all the rags I’m wearing make me look like scum off the side road… I’m not good with chores and other tasks…’ she thought before the guards led her inside to meet the royal family. As Chara looked around she was in aw by the beautiful decorations…

She soon entered the throne room shaking hard… then the king called her forward after the guards closed the door behind her; Chara walked over shaking like a leaf… The king was a rather large fellow unlike his wife, however they had their similarities, they both had long beautiful white/ silver hair. The King had green eyes while the queen had beautiful blue eyes, both of them reflecting kindness and compassion from the bottom of their hearts.

The Queen looked at her obviously noticing her nervousness… “Relax child… we won’t eat you…”

Chara panics and began to babble “N-N-NO NO I WASN’T THINKING THAT, I JUST NEVER WORKED LIKE THIS AND NEVER HAD BEEN EMPLOYED TO ROYALTY AND…”

“Wondered how we’d like you?” The older prince, a young man probably 21 in age walked in with a sadistic smirk, (which made Chara very uncomfortable…) “Y-yes…” she said shyly. This man had the eyes of his father, yet carried flame red hair upon his head.

The younger prince simply watched Chara and also remained quiet… this young boy only looked 19, a year older than her. His beautiful black hair and blue eyes seemed so inviting, and made this prince look very handsome in appearance.

The king then asked the boys, “Well… what do you think of this young lady being your personal maid?”

“I say she perfect in every way…” the older said eyeing Chara pervertedly… she obviously was going to have to be careful around him… but Chara’s ears perched and turned toward the younger prince as he said… “I think she’ll be a great new member to the family…” he was sweetly smiling while looking at her. She slightly turned pink. She was never really considered as part of a real family before…

The king smiled “Splendid! Once you change miss? …”

“C-Chara, Chara Nomeco your majesty…” she curtsied after realizing she forgot earlier to curtsey…

The king smiled, “let me introduce your two main masters…” she then thought to herself, ‘when you say masters…’ the king then said, “first the eldest, the next in line for the throne, my son prince Shin…” Shin bowed and kissed her hand, “Pleasure to have such a beautiful mistress working for us…” she lightly blushed before the other prince grabbed her other hand and kissed it after saying, “I prince Kyo feel likewise…”

Chara blushed a little harder having two of them treat her so kindly…

Once they let go the queen then said “Please work hard for us miss Chara?” she sweetly smiled as Chara also smiled, “I will I promise!”

After Chara changes into nicer servant clothes that were no were near as dirty as the rags she wore not so long ago, she smiled, “I look way better than normal… though I must say its odd that I’m the only personal servant…” she thinks to herself before a knock comes from the door,  “Mistress Chara? Prince Shin wishes to speak to you…” a servant spoke

‘Mistress?... Wait! Don’t tell me!?’ she began to realize before the door opened to actually reveal the prince… “Well?...” he smirked with a sadistic look in his eyes… but before he moved closer Kyo entered, “Oi Shin! She isn’t a play toy… now the king has summoned you for lessons… the queen is working with me on the fine arts…”

Shin sighed, “Fine fine… but one day…” Chara frowned, “Not happening, now go to class…” she said acting like a nanny…

            As Shin left Kyo sighed, “Don’t worry I’ll make sure he doesn’t try anything… when he did before all the previous maids quit out of fear… “

“That explains a lot…” Chara said out loud

Kyo smiled, “Well I actually was originally sent by my mother… she requests your assistance in some of my classes…”

Chara nodded, “That I will gladly oblige to…” she slightly curtsied before Kyo led her to the ballroom where the class was being held. Chara was in aw, all the beautiful decorations she smiled wide but then remembered why she was there and curtsied to the queen…

            The queen smiled, “Thank you for coming miss Chara… now tell me your skills I heard about? I believe you can sing?”

Chara’s face went slightly pale but nodded…

Kyo noticed this but asked, “Will you please sing for us?...”

She gulped, but nodded and soon prepared to sing

When she finished she felt good but before noticing they were applauding instead of preparing to hit her… her legs collapsed and she instinctively covered her head…

As soon as they saw this, the queen and kyo rushed to her side asking, “Whats wrong… are you alright?”

Chara nodded, after she got up she bowed and said, “I’m sorry… I need a moment…” she quickly ran…

Kyo cried out “Wait!” but it was to late, he turned to his mother, “What do we know about her?”

“Only that she lived in the orphanage and was one of the only people who can sing in the entire country…”

“Really…”

Out of the castle Chara had decided to go buy food for everyone and make dinner as an apology for what happened earlier. When suddenly a gang of bullies from the orphanage began to yell, “Look it’s the witch!”

“I-I’m not a witch!” Chara still tried to reasons even after years of failure

The boy that was considered the leader smirked… “Then sing for us…”

Chara looked at the ground with tears as she quietly began to sing another song… but as soon as her song ended the bullies kicked her in the stomach while yelling, “Only witches can sing like that!” A boy gave her a black eye and she was bruised and in pain in her stomach…

            Suddenly a voice sounding familiar spoke, “Step away from her or face severe punishment…” Chara looked up and saw… “Prince Shin?” she said to herself before he pushed the bullies aside and picked her up bridal style… he glared at the bullies and then carried Chara back to the castle. Kyo walked up and saw Shin carrying the beaten up Chara and asked, “What happened?...”

Shin responded, “Some punks she apparently knew kept calling her a witch… after she was forced to sing…” he looked at her sleeping body…

Kyo frowned, “That explains it…”

“What do you mean?”

“Earlier during the fine arts lesson she cringed before singing and afterwards quickly duck and covered herself… it was a reflex from the fights…”

“So she went through this often?...”

“… everyday at every chance they get…” Chara spoke as she began to stand, “ever since I was able to sing the called me a witch and hurt me or anyone associated with me…” Chara explained before Kyo quickly supported her… “Because the nurse lives in the room a few doors away from mine we’ll have him check you out in my room…”

Chara blushed, but was to tired to argue. The nurse was actually a male doctor named Shiro, this man was in his late 20’s with brown hair and amber eyes, Shiro quickly applied all the medicine he could provide to Chara’s wounds before saying, “It’ll be best if she stays here tonight…” he says calmly

Shin sighed, “seems like she should avoid going out at all from what she said…” Kyo just sat wondering, ‘How could she survive blows like this everyday and still look beautiful?...’ Shiro sighed, “then Shin and I will leave…” he said bowing… Shin frowned, “If you mess with her before me…”

“I’m not a hypocrite like you Shin!” Kyo said blushing lightly…

                                                                                                                                                                                                

As the two left the room Kyo then returned his gaze to Chara and wondered, “Was she ever able to fight back?” he slowly tried to touch her face… but suddenly her hand grabbed his wrist tightly and then with a meow like sound threw Kyo to the wall. Now she did that with her eyes closed, but when she opened her eyes she realized what she did so she began to panic, “AHHH I’M SO, SO, SO SORRY!!!!” she began to overly apologize.

Kyo rubbed his head, “Ow… no wonder you still look beautiful after being beaten up so often, you dodge many attacks like that huh?”

Chara blushed and nodded. “They also called me the cat witch because of my fighting abilities…” she said a little sad…

He walked over to her with a sympathetic look, “You’ve been through a lot haven’t you?...” he then sat down next to her on the bed and then after petting her head gently, he gave her a gentle hug. She blushed hard thinking, ‘EEHH!!???’ Kyo then let go and said, “Just rest now ok?” he slowly walked over to a couch he had in his room to sleep…

Chara was surprised, he was treating her so kindly, so was everyone in the castle, was it possible that this was the family she was looking for?...

Next morning Chara woke up slowly seeing a small basket of flowers and food from everyone in the castle on the nightstand next to her. She smiled and got up out of bed but as she got up she began to fall to suddenly get caught. She looked up to see Shin, “Prince Shin!?....” she blushed. He smiled, “morning… you seem to be feeling better… you’ve been sleeping a lot… so much so that Kyo and I took turns watching over you sleeping beauty…oh it’s almost dinner time… do you need help getting dressed?...” he sort of smirked. Chara turned beat red, “N-No I’m fine! You try anything and I’ll…”

“Relax I was going to get a female servant to help… I may act like a perv but I only do it with girls I like… and you are on the top of the charts…”

Chara was almost smoking red… “T-th-th…”

“Your welcome… oh and I never did anything to those girls before… they were just scared of me…” he said as he stood up and called for his mother’s ladies in waiting to help Chara change her clothes…

Soon the ladies led Chara to the dining hall where the king, queen, and the two princes were eating… Shiro helped Chara walk as well to the dinning table, “Miss Chara… you sure your ok?” he asked as he walked her over as Kyo stood up looking at them.

“I’ll be fine, thank you very much for helping me out Shiro.” She said with a smile before Kyo took her hand and led her to the table… Chara curtsied to the family and said, “where would you like me to stand?...”

“Nonsense girl you will sit between Shin and Kyo. You’re a very important person to us…”

Chara blushed, “I don’t feel I deserve to be… especially so quickly…” she said as both Shin and Kyo helped her sit down.

The queen smiled, “We view all our servants as family, so we treat each of the with respect, yet we wish to help you to not feel the pain you had outside the castle… which is one reason we wish to treat you like this, after all your so young… and having gone through what you have must have been a challenge…” she said angelically

Chara stayed silent as the King spoke, “We see great potential in you, enough that you could even be a princess… however right now, we decided to train you to the life of royalty and the ability to fight from what kyo told us…, we also plan to take you with us on all royal events, including the royal ball on the full moon… “

Chara was in aw, “A-are you sure, I-I don’t deserve this honor…” Shin smiled, “You do… you’ve been through enough so me and kyo will help you adjust to the lifestyle change…”

 Kyo smiled, “ Miss Chara… no Princess Chara, We’ll do our best for you, and promise to make you the best one possible…” he said holding her hand. She blushed hard, “I don’t know what to say, your all so kind to me, I don’t know how I could ever repay you…”

The Queen smile, “simply agree  to letting us take care of you…”

Chara smiled, “Ok… I accept!”

They all smiled cheerfully, The king smiled, “Well, tomorrow we are heading to the dark kingdom not far from here… we know you will be a hit among the royal family members…”

Chara smiled, “I’ll do my best there…”

The next morning Chara was dressed by other female servants and felt very odd… she wore a beautiful pink silk dress… and a small silver tiara with beautiful blue gems on it, “I’m not sure this suits me well…” she said to herself. Suddenly, Shiro appeared, and was in aw (even slightly blushing), “Miss Chara… I believe your wrong about that dress…” he kneeled down and kissed her hand, “…Princess…”

Chara’s face turned red, “Are you coming with us Shiro?...” she asked

He sighed, “I wish… but this is for royals after all… call me though if you need a doctor.” He smiled bowing to her before heading out of the room…

‘Shiro…’ she thought face still red but suddenly said, “you can come with us, we never know when we’re going to need a doctor…”

Shiro smiled at her, “I suppose I’ll meet you in the carriage then, after all its with your permission that I’m able to travel with you…” he said before walking away

The ladies led her to a large carriage prepared for the royal family, Chara felt so out of place as the other servants opened the door and bowing to her. When she entered she was in aw… from the outside the carriage looked only a little bigger… In actually… it was like a small house on wheels! The family greeted her with smiles.

Shin then spoke, “I bet your wondering how this is even possible?...”

Chara nodded as the King explained, “The royal wizard created this for us…”

“Did you call me your majesty?” A man, around his early 20’s most likely 26 by appearance said.

“Ah, sorry Terra, we were just explaining your magic to…”

“The new princess?...” he walked toward Chara bowed and after kissing her hand spoke, “It’s a pleasure to meet you princess Chara…”

As Chara blushed she noticed the details of Terra more clearly. Terra had this dark blonde hair that he had as a long ponytail with dark brown eyes. Terra smiled, “I wish to thank you your majesty for allowing me and doctor Shiro to travel with you…” he said bowing to the king.

The King smiled, “We never know when danger or magic occurs… plus we wish for you to teach Chara fighting techniques, as you know she…”

“Has the reflexes of a cat, yes… I could sense the power just by kissing her beautiful hand…” Terra smiled.

Chara blushed and then suddenly noticed the movement of the carriage, causing her to begin to fall down. But suddenly Shin and Kyo both caught her before she could hurt herself. “You alright?...” they said in unison.

Chara blushed even more as she said, “y-yes I’m alright… I’ve got to get used to this moving building…”

Terra smirked, “Now’s a perfect time to see how your fighting abilities are like…” he said as he walked toward a door that he had just created. From just tapping his staff on the ground. He motioned her to follow, but then kyo pulled her aside asking, “Are you sure your up for this?... are you still injured?...”

“I’ll be alright, I heal quickly and I need to start to prove myself… not for my sake...” she turned to him, “but to prove my strength to everyone… not just myself…”

Terra smiled and after stomping his staff Chara was now in fighting clothes… She looked at her armor and simply smiled… but before she went through the door she said to Kyo while quickly hugging him, “Thanks for worrying about me… but when I leave the grounds you will see a stronger more confident woman…” she said as she turned to the door already opened by Terra, (he apparently entered it while she was talking to Kyo…)

Kyo watched her and was lightly blushing, Shin pouted, “Lucky you getting a hug from our new princess…”

“S-Shut up…” he was blushing even more…

On the other side of the door, Chara was in aw by this training ground room, “So well made…” she said quietly. Terra then turned to her and threw a couple of ninja star like weapons. Chara’s ears perched and her pupils became like slits… she quickly jumped into the air easily dodging the attack… and even in midair as she was attacked again she avoided them with ease… she even landed on her feet quit easily.

Terra smiled, “So I see your evasiveness  is very high, now face this attack and take it to see your actual defensive side… how much you can handle…”

“If I may…” Chara interrupted, “I recommend actually testing my strength first, because what your suggesting will take all the energy out of me…”

Terra smiled, “Good plan, now attack me so I can also test your speed…”

Chara nodded she closed her eyes and sang quietly and as soon as it started speeding up she looked at terra with cat slits in her eyes and charging at almost unhuman like speeds. And as she punched and kicked at Terra blocking the attacks, he can feel her strength, ‘this girl… this style… its possible that… no it’s not possible… I’ll speak to the king about it later…” he soon pushed her to the side. And said, “That’s enough fight now prepare your bracing….” He said coldly and fired a strong beam of energy toward her… Chara continued to sing while taking the hit…

It continued for far longer than normal people could usually stand… but suddenly when Chara reached the climax of the song she broke the energy beam…. And charged even faster than before knocking Terra back into a tree and before finishing a blow the song began to end so she punched the ground breaking a good portion of earth…

Terra watched in aw… and when She finally passed out and caught her, he quietly said, ‘how is this possible?... I thought that…”

But he decided not to say anything, noticing he had a large amount of bruises and cuts on his body. By a sudden tap of the staff Shiro soon appeared, “What happened… to both of you…” he said noticing both of them being beaten up like they were…

Terra said, “I wish to explain in more detail to you and the king in awhile, but for right now lets get her out of here and let her rest in her room…”

Shiro nodded and walked next to Terra examining both of their wounds while Terra dropped his staff and Chara returned to her princess outfit…

When the door opened, the family was shocked by what they saw… “Chara!?” both Kyo and Shin said at the same time. They ran over and as Terra spoke, “Will you two take her to her room, and pardon my including you my queen, but I must talk to Shiro and the King immediately…” The queen nodded as Terra handed Chara to Kyo… Kyo blushed lightly at the beautiful girl before leading the way to her room…

Once they left the King spoke, “Now tell me… I can tell her strength is immense since she managed to injure you even if minor…”

“Your highness… after looking at her fighting abilities and powers, I am almost certain that this girl is the one from the legend of the melody cat….”

“What?!” Shiro spoke, “But the people from the kingdom…”

“Yes, they were destroyed… but this girl fits all the aspects required… not to mention… she has the extra strength that I have never seen before… if she did decide to give me the final blow… I probably wouldn’t be around by now…” Terra said…

The King sighed, “So you think she has the blood of…”

“Yes without a doubt… its one reason I think bringing her out to the rest of the world was very wise of you your majesty…” Terra said

The King was silent but then said, “I believe we should begin each day by teaching her the ways of the princess, have her attend the events… but at night I wish for you Terra and you Shiro, for you are one of the few people who also remember what the people were like, and she will need occasional medical attention, to train her fighting ability, because if we aren’t careful, the event of the millennium could follow us… Chara… needs to be ready for it…”

Chara slowly opened her eyes to see the Queen, Shin, and Kyo by her. “W-Where am I?” Chara asked.

The Queen smiled, “Your room, it looks like you took a lot of damage from training, but you look better now… you think you can stand?” She asked

Chara nodded and got up… noticing Kyo and Shin rushing to her side to help…

“You really gave us a scare…” Shin said…

“Yes we were all worried…” Kyo said…

Chara smiled “I’m alright, with such nice men helping me how I couldn’t be?”

The Queen smiled and then when a bell rang and the carriage came to a sudden stop… causing for both Shin and Kyo to accidentally fall on Chara… causing them all to blush hard and get up quickly…

The Queen smiled, “We’re here… “

As soon as everyone got out of the carriage Chara was in aw… The country was the kingdom of Ravensheart. Mostly known for the dark poetic atmosphere the city brings as well as the constant ravens all over town…

The Castle was made of dark granite brick with the classic drawbridge and moat…

Chara walked next to the two princes following the king and queen. While meanwhile Shiro and Terra followed them.

As the doors opened, Chara looked onto the rooms with aw… the dark colored walls and tapestries led on an aura of mystery.

Soon they all stepped forward and as soon as they reached the throne room… there sat a dying old king and an old (but not dying old) queen. And a young handsome prince stood to the side. The man had similar features as Kyo, but his black hair was much longer and his eyes almost looked like red raven eyes… but as the king and queen stepped to the side Kyo and Shin quickly bowed, but for Chara as she tried to curtsy she quickly lost balance and with pure luck landed on her knees…

“I-I’m sorry your majesties… “Shin simply knew the others would easily forgive this cute learning princess. Kyo also thought the same but decided to join her on the ground so as not to make her feel uncomfortable…

Terra watched Kyo’s actions toward this girl and wondered… Shiro also simply smiled… yet suddenly all 4 boys heard the boy walk forward toward Chara..

Chara was still on the ground when Kyo stood… he knew that if he stood in the prince’s way it would be curtains for all of them…

The Prince spoke, “I have met everyone else before… but…” he put a finger under her chin and lifted her gaze to him, “I’m surprised I’ve never seen such a beautiful princess as yourself step forward…”

Chara blushed, “I’m not a princess yet sir…” she said sir because this man looked just a year older than Shin,.

The man smiled, “I am however a prince… I am Ragde… future ruler of this kingdom…”

Chara quickly tried to get up as Kyo decided to help her up. But Ragde quickly took her by the hand to pull her up. He smirked at Kyo, Shin, Shiro, and Terra as if a warning for them to back away…

Radge guided her to the king and queen of Ravensheart… Chara quickly curtsied to the 2 as they smiled and said, “Welcome young miss to our kingdom, if I may ask for your name, please let us quoth your name?” the King said…

“I am Chara Nomeco your majesty…”

Ragde smirked, he liked this girl… unique in every way from the people who normally live in their kingdom… so he spoke, “Father, mother… perhaps I may give the princess a tour?...”

The boys ears perched… something didn’t seem right with this situation… they looked at each other and nodded, “If its all the same sir, we wish to accompany the two to make absolutely no harm… of any kind… can be afflicted on her?...” Radge was irritated but grew more angry when his father agreed to these outsiders request!?

Chara was blushing lightly, everyone was trying to get her attention… she had never felt this feeling before… but yet… she felt oddly used to this concept. She had no idea why… but it was also odd how Ragde in particular acted so strange around her.

As Ragde gave what seemed like an ordinary tour of the castle, Chara felt the grip he used on her much stronger than usual. Chara even cringed at one point he was holding her arm so tight…

Shiro saw this with ease and grew irritated, Terra trying hard to hold him back… but also getting irritated by this man’s obvious intentions…

Kyo and Shin were so close to killing the guy… particularly as they began to enter the ballroom… Ragde quickly pulled Chara by the waist and prepared her for a dance as he nodded to his own orchestra and began a waltz with her. This song was almost scary, Chara could feel the cruel intention through each note of the song… she quickly realized him trying to lean toward her face…

The boys quickly saw the now scared Chara trying to push Ragde away from her… they quickly ran toward the two…

But Ragde frown and with a snap of is fingers, horrible raven like creatures stood in-front of him and Chara blocking the other’s.

Chara finally began to scream as Ragde began to pull her close to him, “L-let me go!” Chara however still was weak from her first round of training… so she couldn’t quit easily get away like normally…

When the others heard her scream… they quickly sprung into action not realizing that it was a trap for them! The ravens soon disappeared in a puff of smoke and a magic proof cage was created and dropped on them. Chara saw this and yelled, “Guys!” as she finally got of Ragde’s grip they suddenly disappeared… “What did you do!?” she yelled at him…

“They have been hidden all around the castle young princess… including your king and queen, and my mother and father…” he said smirking as the atmosphere grew darker…

“Tell me where they are!” she demanded

“Oh I’ll let you find them… just search for my clues all around and find them before midnight, which will occur in 2 hours… if unsuccessful, you will be my queen…”

“I’d rather die than ever marry you!” she yelled before running toward the door… out of the ballroom…

But he was quick and placed his hand on the door… “The first ones you find will be your king and queen… a room where men shout from all directions except one who stands as the choosier… find it soon… or the two will be facing a choice given by the men…”

Chara quickly figured it out and quickly ran to try and find the room…

After 20 minutes… she heard the shouting of ravens toward one room ahead… that’s when she realized it was there… She ran into the court room and yelled “Objection!” after she looked inside she saw her king and queen tied and gagged to chairs while Ragde sat in the judges seat with the black robe and white wig… “I see the defense attorney has arrived… how do you plead toward the crime of harming others?...”

Chara waited a moment… and then finally answered… "If I am not mistaken I am neither guilty nor innocent… yet you… ‘honorable judge’ are in violation of your duties and there for YOU ARE GUILTY!”

The ravens suddenly rushed toward Ragde and disappeared into his robes…

“I nevermore can call myself innocent, though I pondered in the next room and quoth a bird most high. In this room my picture shows… and inside the creators of my life…” as soon as Ragde disappeared Chara turned to the king and queen, “Wait for the other at the entrance of the castle… I’ve got to find the others…” The two of them nodded and warned her to be cautious… but before she moved on, the king grabbed her hand and place a sword in her palm… “use it well princess…” Chara bowed and ran toward the study.

In 30 minutes she found the study and faced yet another challenge. The study was filled with floating books and pictures of Edgar Allen Poe all over the walls. The king and queen of Ravensheart shook in fear as they were surrounded by the monstrous raven creatures. Ragde was in the air, and Chara noticed feathers were forming on his body. He smirked, “I speak similar to you, I act similar to you… even love people similar to those whom you loved… who am I?”

Chara frowned, “You’re a reincarnation, a reincarnation particularly of Edgar Allan Poe… quoth your raven… YOU SHALL LEAVE HERE FOREVER MORE!”

Radge disappeared once again saying, “very good… the next to final room is in the place where my brethren sat upon and stayed upon… for there is also sorrow in this room and you know why… find this room for the wizard and doctor face the same fate…”

Chara quickly turned to the king and queen of Ravensheart, “Please head over  to the castle entrance, my king and queen will be waiting there for you…”

The king stopped Chara from moving on, “This is something you should know… my son only became like this after a song convinced him to become cruel…”

“A song?...” Chara asked…

“Please… he’s good underneath… just help him?... he is possessed  as you can see… just help him?... I beg you….” The king said tiredly.

Chara looked at him and nodded “I promise I’ll do my best…”

She quickly ran toward a  room that she knew would be filled with busts… About 40 minutes later she finally found the art room…

“Chara!” Terra and Shiro yelled at the same time…

Chara saw Ragde sitting on one of the bust, looking more like a raven than before, and waited for his question….

“Can you truly tell me how a Raven is like a man?” he asked

“It all depends on the man, you for instance at the moment have everything in common with a raven… “

“At the moment?...” he growled

“Yes… because soon I will figure out how to return you to normal… now tell me where Kyo and Shin are!”

he growled, “Here I lay to either roost… or here to fall to my doom… but if you don’t find me in 15 minutes, your time will be up…” disappearing into darkness…

Chara quickly told Terra and Shiro to go protect the kings and queens, and she quickly decided to climb the building from outside to reach the roof… multiple times she almost fell but in 10 minutes she finally reached the roof.

Upon arriving however, she was scared to see that while Kyo and Shin were in their cage… Ragde had somehow become a giant raven like monster… he cawed, “Solve this riddle I let them go free, but fight me in order to free yourself as well…”

Chara frowned as he asked her, “I rise only when my body aches… I only complain when I don’t get my way… I never can be stopped and will never be beaten… until I caw for a famous quoth… who am I and what is the quote?...”

Chara looked at him, “the beast within you… the one that only rises when the darkness in your heart overflows, yet the only way for you to be free is to quoth the raven… NEVERMORE!”

Ragde cawed extremely loud and returned half of his feature to human, “You are very clever princess… I will let the two princes go as promised, but first they will watch you lose your freedom to me…”

Kyo growled, “I swear Ragde once you let me out I will continue to face your challenges till the day I defeat you…”

Shin nodded saying, “I will do likewise…”

Chara then pulled out her sword, “Kyo… Shin… thank you… but I will beat him… I will return his human side… and then we can leave and not worry about this kingdom ever again…” Chara then began to sing a soothing bright song… causing Ragde to begin to draw back in pain… Chara continued so much so that finally… as Ragde  cawed louder than ever before, “NEVERMORE!” all the feathers surrounding Ragde began to disappeared, and all the dark magic disappeared into the wind…

Ragde fainted and soon the cage holding Kyo and Shin disappeared and they ran to the exhausted Chara… Shin catches her before she passed out and Kyo looks at her just grateful that she didn’t get hurt…

The next morning Ragde was back to normal, in-fact his eyes were now a golden color instead of red… he apologized to Chara quickly… but then Chara said, “It wasn’t your fault, so there is no need to apologize… just promise me you’ll lead your people with kindness and giving from now on?”

He smiled, “I promise…” and just before they all exited Ragde called and ran after them, “Princess! … there’s 2 things I forgot to give you… first… the raven’s eye ring, this gem will allow you to see at greater distances when in your fighting mode…” he explained while placing it on her finger…

“And second?” Chara asked… but then was truly spooked by Ragde kissing her cheek…

Ragde backed away saying, “That is a thank you for all you’ve done for my kingdom… what I offer may not be much… but we hope you will continue to protect as many people as you can…”

Charas face was pure red while the boys were steaming jealous!

When they rode off Chara simply sat in the main room of the carriage with everyone… Terra sighed, “I must say Ragde did give you a very powerful artifact… it should help you see even better in battle than your cat senses can normally see… “

Shiro said to Chara, “And we all want to thank you… you saved all of us…”

“I-I…” Chara didn’t know what to say… she was exhausted…

Kyo said to Chara, “Why don’t I take you to your room to rest?... I’m sure your exhausted…” Shin looked at Kyo and saw how much Kyo wanted to protect Chara and try to prove himself to her…

Chara was suddenly picked up bridal style and blushed hard, “K-kyo!?…” she said while thinking, ‘GAH why do all the guys want me!?... yet I wonder, is there once person I particularly like?... gah! What am I thinking!? I may be dressed like a princess but underneath I’m just an orphan…’

Kyo the gently placed her on the bed… “we will have to stop at the kingdom of venomous soon… I plan on staying with you here until we leave…”

“But… why can’t I?...”

" listen to me, these people are dangerous, I don’t want to take any chances when it comes to keeping you safe… I… I mean we… we don't want you to suffer any type of pain...” he began to look at her and blush

Chara watched Kyo walk out after saying, “By the way… I truly meant what I said about trying over and over again to save you…” he then turned toward her and blushed saying, “even now I promise that to you…” he quickly kissed her left cheek and then quickly ran out of the room… Chara wanted to follow him but was blushing so hard she couldn’t move.

Shin came in and said, “I saw what happened…”

Chara blushed harder

“Don’t worry, I know he came to you… and I must say... he’s lucky… he still wants to be a prince charming even though he isn’t next in line to the throne…”

Chara looked at Shin and asked, “Are… are you jealous of that?...”

Shin looked at her and walked up to her and placed a hand on her head and said, “I’m jealous of him for multiple reasons… but the biggest thing I’m jealous of was…” he suddenly leaned down and kissed the same cheek that Kyo kissed…

Chara turned bright red when he said, “When he did that…” and then walked out of the room

Chara looked down, “Oh! Why me!?” she thought, she didn’t know what to do!

Terra and Shiro began to discuss with the king about the legend… Chara had walked out of her room to get some air but began to overhear them….

“Shiro I don’t know how else to prove that she is the girl from the legend… her fighting skills, her personality… EVERYTHING FITS!!!”

“What about her age?...” Shiro asked

“Same as the legend… “ Terra replied quickly

“Why are you so against her being the girl of legend…” the king asked

“… I don’t want her hurt… she doesn’t deserve anymore pain…” Shiro sighed

“I admit I didn’t want such a cute and beautiful girl to be placed on this situation… but because you and I and everyone care deeply, even in some cases more than others… we need to not only protect her when she’s weak… but guide her when she’s strong…” Terra said in a cool manner…

Chara was shocked, “What did they mean by legend?... What’s my purpose in this story?” she thought quickly walking away…

Shiro saw her though and followed…

Chara sat in what was like a sun room… and sighed before hearing Shiro enter… “Shiro?...” suddenly she saw Terra behind him, “Terra… both of you need to tell me what you mean by legend, If I am part of it I have the right to know!” She asked with a serious expression on her face

Shiro looked at her with a sad expression before Terra spoke, “The melody cat… have you heard the story?…” Terra asked…

Chara simply said, “only the children version, ‘once upon a time, a cat that loved to sing was loved by all the other animals… except the jealous evil twin of the godly nine-tail fox… The cat’s voice was a gift that the fox thought should have belonged only to her…  one day after receiving gifts from all the other animals… the fox’s servant stated to the cat about the fox’s challenge… a fight to the death…’ in the children’s story the cat wins without any harm…, what does the true legend state?...” she asked

Shiro frowned, “The ending was no were near as simple as that…”

Kyo and Shin secretly listened in, “The cat was actually not worshiped by all the other animals… some of them fought with her many times… but when it came to the battle against the fox… the cat was assumed dead, but no one knows whether its true or not…” Terra said sadly…

Chara looked down… “If… if I am the cat… does that mean?....”

“… its possible… but we don’t want to think…” Shiro said sadly…

Kyo growled and ran in “We can’t let that happen to Chara! I won’t let her get hurt like that!”

“Kyo… “ Chara said blushing

“I won’t allow it either…” Shin said walking forward…

“Shin…”

Shiro looked up and with his fist clenched, “I don’t want it either…. And I’ll help you make sure that everything will be ok too!”

“Shiro…”

Terra finally added, “I believe with all of us helping protect our princess, she will be safe…”

“Terra…” she then began to tear up, “… you guys…” she began to cry… “Thank you…” she said trying to wipe her tears…

Shiro and Terra walked up and hugged her… both of them secretly kissing her head for a split second… Kyo and Shin hugged her also and Chara began to think…

‘Their warmth… its so  warm… I…  care for them… I’m not sure who I love yet… but something tells me that I’ll find love soon… is this what the cat felt with the other animals?...’ she thought

Suddenly the carriage came to a sudden stop… they were about to enter another kingdom… Chara quickly got up and brushed off her dress as the guys quickly got up… the queen then came in and stated “We have now arrived in the venomon kingdom…”

“That kingdom where they not only worship any animal containing poisonus venom but also have venom in them…” Shiro asked

The queen nodded…

Chara gulped… she knew she was to weak at the moment to fight if anything bad would happen…

Kyo looked at her and said, “… we won’t let them near you Chara…”

“I know… thanks…” She smiled as the guys surrounded her…

As they were escorted out of the carriage all the men had their snake like eyes and split tongues… Soon they were led into a castle… made of snake fangs…

Chara cringed and grabbed Shiro’s arm scared… Shiro blushed and put his arm around her to be protective… the others slightly jealous…

The king and queen then led the way to the throne room… sitting on the throne was a black widow queen, this woman looked 30 but Chara knew she probably was over 50…

The woman spoke, “Welcome to my domain… my eldest son will be coming here soon…” she then notices Chara… and suddenly it became clear that she had eight giant spider legs coming out of her back, she walked forward and bent down close to Chara's face, “Who are you?...”

“I…I’m Chara Nomeco your highness…” she curtsied… and then the queen smiled, “Such a sweet young princess… to sweet to even think of eating….” She joked…

but Chara was spooked…

Kyo then saw the queen’s son and frowned… this boy was a mixture of a scorpion, spider sand a snake, yet he seemed more snake than anything…

He walked up toward Chara and he slithered his tongue to see Chara… “Thissssss issss a beautiful ssssmell….”

“This is princess Chara, Voldar my son….” The queen said…

Chara quickly curtsied and Voldar smiled…

Shin and Terra then heard something coming up from above them… Terra spoke, “We heard something above us… excuse us…” they quickly ran up leaving the others… the king and queen  were escorted to the ballroom to discuss certain matters…

Voldar starts to circle Chara, Kyo, and Shiro… Chara held onto Kyo scared again… Kyo lightly blushing but whispered to her “Just stay still and close to me….” Now he put his arm protectively around her…. Chara lightly blushed

Voldar hissed, “Princesssssss Chara?.... I ssssmell royal blood in you…. Not jusssst a royal title…..”

“W-what?... I’m an orphan…”

“No… I ssssmell much more than your hissstory may reveal….”

“What is it you smell? Please tell me?...”

“I sssmell a mixture of cat fur… rossse petals, golden piecesss, and purenesssss of the heart…”

“I don’t understand… what do you mean!?” she screamed

Suddenly Volldar grabbed her with his spider legs, Chara screamed, “Let go of me!”

Kyo Screamed, “Let her go!”

Shiro also yelled, “Chara!”

Voldar hissed, “Ssssuch a beautiful sssmell musssst be protected!... Only worth protectorsss can hold her..."

Chara then began to realize, 'he wants to test the guys to see if I'll be safe with them!'

Voldar then climbed up onto the wall using his legs and hissed, "Try and sssave her!"

"Kyo! Shiro! Help!" Chara yelled, after all she was still to tired from fighting Ragde...

Kyo quickly pulled out his sword and ran toward Voldar... But Voldar was quicker...

Shiro soon followed and tried to jump high enough to catch up to them... But then Voldar swung his scorpion tail and knocked Shiro to the ground...

"Shiro!" Chara cried out...

Chara felt so helpless she didn't know what to do...

Voldar saw this and said, "Ssshe will wait for you to find her in the tallessst tower...." he then carried her out of the window, Kyo yelling, "CHARA!"

Kyo quickly went to Shiro and helped him up.... "We need to find the others you think?..."

"No they probably are fighting now too... We will have to find Chara ourselves..." Shiro said... He pulled out his knife. Ready to battle...

Kyo nodded, "let's get started..."

Chara was then locked in a room in the tower, she was in a comfy room... She saw Voldar guard the door like a hawk... Chara walked to the door and said, "You never intended to hurt me... You just wanted to see if I would be safe with the others..."

Voldar nodded lightly....

"Thanks... Your very kind hearted...."

"... Pure heartsss.. Intellegent mindsss, and royally gold blood are alwaysss ment to be guarded by people with good intentionsss...." Voldar said coolly.

Kyo and Shiro ran up the stairs fighting many humanoid snakes, scorpions, and spiders...

Each level seemed tougher and tougher.. But as Shiro cut more and more creature alongside with Kyo... Kyo began to think, "Chara... The others may feel the same, but I'll confess to myself... I love you!" I always have! Your beauty, your kindness, your courage, your strength... Everything! I love you Chara!!!" his passion flowed into every blow...

Shiro saw this and thought, "Everyone loves Chara... Even I do a lot... But it looks like Kyo loves her more than anyone!..."

Suddenly they entered a room with a giant scorpion, to the others surprise, there was Terra and shin...

Shiro yelled, "Guys! The prince of the kingdom challenged us to save Chara!

They yelled, "What!?"

Kyo frowned, "I've got to get past that thing and save her!"

Shin and Terra nodded... They knew Kyo loved Chara more than anyone did...

Terra frowned, "I'll handle this scorpion... You guys move ahead..." Terra said while pulling out his staff...

Quickly the others nodded and ran ahead as Terra used his magic to distract the creature

But to there luck next was a giant spider... Shiro yelled, "Run and find Chara!"

Next Shin and Kyo faced a giant snake... Shin then said, "Kyo... Go save the woman you love..."

"Shin..."

"Just go!"

Kyo nodded and ran toward the final room, there stood Voldar with Chara in a cage next to him, unharmed of course... Kyo yelled to her, "Chara!"

Chara looked at him and blushed at the determined look he had on his face, "Kyo!"

Voldar hissed, "You have proven yourssself indeed ssso far... But the final challenge isss to beat me!"

Kyo braced himself and charged at Voldar...

Voldar almost flicked him away like a bug!

Chara watched helplessly as she thought... "Why!... Why can't I do anything to help Kyo!?... Needlessly... I noticed that my heart pounds more around him than anyone else, I don't know maybe..."

Kyo fell hard to the ground as Chara yelled, "Kyo!"

Voldar walked toward Kyo and hissed, "What do you think makesss you able to protect her from the dangersss ahead?... I sssenssse no abnormal abilitiesss in you... Excccept an emotion or feeling I haven't felt thisss ssstrong of before... What isss it?..." he asked

Kyo began to try to get up and then spoke, "I know I can do my best to protect Chara because of the so called emotion you sense..."

He began to say unaware that the others were in the back...

"this emotion is now a huge part of my heart and soul... This feeling..." he turned toward Chara, "Is.... Love..."

Charas face turned pure red, is this what she felt for Kyo?

He continued, "I love Chara... I always have, and always will... That's why...I'll defend her with my life!" he yelled charging again, but suddenly the cage surrounding Chara disappeared and Kyo accidentally ran through one of the windows out of the castle and began to fall...

As Kyo fell he thought, ' This maybe my last moment... At least I told her... At least..." but as he fell he noticed a girl following behind him yelling, "Kyo!!!!!!"

Kyo then recognized who it was, "Chara!? What are you?"

"I am not letting you get hurt for me!" Chara yelled

"That was the point though of confessing!" Kyo yelled pulling Chara close to him

"Well my heart wants me to confess!" she yelled looking red

Kyo blushed hard, "What?..."

Chara looked at him... "I  love you Kyo... I just couldn't bear anyone possibly could break my hea..." but just before she could finish her last word Kyo planted his lips onto hers before saying, "Never think that I would break your heart, if I ever did I'd never forgive myself..."

They then landed on the ground, luckily Chara's cat like ability to land on her feet helped them avoid getting hurt...

Chara looked at Kyo with a red face..."Kyo...."

"Chara..." he placed his hand on her cheek and while leaning toward her he whispeard, "I will always love you..." he then gently kissed her. Unsaid feelings passed through them. Chara was also crying tears of joy, she never thought she'd ever meet anyone that made her feel so happy to just be near them, and here she was just happy to see Kyo who makes her feel so alive inside...

Kyo never felt this mixture of happiness and passion before... But he loved this feeling almost as much as he loved her. When they broke the kiss they turned and saw everyone clapping...

Chara and Kyo blushed hard.

The king smiled, "Well your mother and I approve highly..."

Shin, Shiro, and Terra smiled, "Congrats Kyo... Take care of her got it!" they yelled...

Kyo smirked and pulled Chara close to him, "You know I never would let her fall or fail any fight... She to important for me to not take care of the one I love...."

Chara blushed even more... To the point she was almost smoking red. She even began to fall back, 'So much emotion at once! I don't think I can breath!' she thought...

Kyo obviously caught her, "Whoa... You look almost sick..." he placed his forehead against her's and said, "seems like a small fever..."

Chara stood there thinking, 'its hot because you are putting me in a situation that is making me overflow with emotion!'

Kyo then picked her up bridal style, "lets get you inside to rest..."

"Mo... Don't treat me like a kid..." Chara pouted

Kyo smiled as he carried her inside the castle

The next morning Voldar gave Chara a unique gift, "thisss isss the basssalisksss charm, if you place thisss charm infront of your enemy, they will be physssically paralyzed for a sshort period of time..." he said before giving Chara a green charm along a gold bracelet

Chara smiled, "Thank you Voldar take care of your kingdom okay?..."

After saying their goodbyes everyone got into the carriage and they rode off toward the next kingdom.

The queen and Chara began to talk about a ball that was occurring in the crystal kingdom.

Chara asked, "You think they will accept me at the ball your majesty? After all I am not a true princess..."

"They will love you, and you ARE a princess..."

"By being under your guidance yes but... " as Chara spoke she remembered what Voldar said about saying she had the smell of royal blood in her... Was it possible he mistook it?... Or maybe..... 'No its not possible!' she thought...

Terra suddenly walked in with a smile, "Your highnesses, are you prepared for the ball in the crystal kingdom?..."

The queen said, "The king and I have been very exhausted, so I wish for Chara to represent me... Will you help her get ready?..."

As Chara heard the queen speak so calmly she internally thought, 'Shes leaving ME with representing.... Oh!!!!!" she panicked

Terra smirked and with a simple snap of his fingers Chara suddenly wore a beautiful light pink ball gown... He smiled and showed Chara here reflection... "Your outfits already...but in case you need to get ready to fight I want to give you something..."

Terra then revealed a pink pendant, this pendant was a base of a music note with a cat on top of it...

He then grabs her sword and makes sure a spot that the charm would fit on was formed... He then said, "to retrieve your sword and transform just raise your hand and chant any spell of your choosing..."

Chara was taken aback so far by what terra was trying to explain. However, she decided to try, she was soon led to the training room, to her surprise she saw Kyo there practicing his sword fighting skills...

The terra said to Kyo, "You can take a break now, I'm going to train Chara now..."

Kyo turned, smiled at the two, nodded, and decided to sit down and watch...

Terra then said to Chara, "Ok... Try and transform now..."

Chara raised her hand up and began to chant her spell, "Light of kindness and love, help me defend those important to me...

Her sword appeared and landed in her and before she pulled out her pendant,

 "...I summon the power of the melody cat!" she shouted as she placed the pendant in the slot of her sword...

Suddenly her whole body was surrounded by light as she transformed into her fighter style. Finishing it with a pose...

She then realized that the transformation was almost embarrassing...

Kyo blushed and smiled at the adorable Chara... Terra then said, "Alright Chara let start with the hand to hand practice..."

 Chara nodded and entered her fighting position. And with her eyes becoming cat slits she began to sing and charged toward Terra preparing her first attack... She charged at lightning speeds sending her flying kick soon.

Terra barely dogged the attack, but still ended up flying backward after blocking a punch directed to the face.

Terra quickly decides to test her new charms before anything could get more difficult for HIM!

He quickly pulls up a smokescreen to test the raven eye charm... Chara raised her hand with the ring and chanted the spell to activate the charm, "Eye of raven, I am in need, help me see, FOREVERMORE!"

As soon as she chanted her words, her cat eyes turned red... She could see exactly where Terra and Kyo were... So she quickly headed toward Terra and raised her basilisk charm, "Eyes that pause into thought, the basilisk tongue and mind of thought, world of light take some time, stop and look at the basilisk eye!" Terra suddenly just remained in the position he was in until finally he said, "let's take a break before we work on your sword fighting skills..."

Chara nodded and for a moment sat against a tree base, completely forgetting for a moment Kyo was there... Until after she began to fall asleep, she felt something warm press against her lips gently... She opened her eyes gently to see Kyo kissing her... She blushed hard, "Kyo...l" she said quietly as the kiss broke.

Kyo smiled and stroked her cheek with his hand, "You were amazing... No.... You ARE amazing..." Kyo said with a smile...

Chara smiled, "... I try... I'm nervous about the ball tonight though... Because it seems that no matter where I go trouble follows..."

He then gently kissed her again before saying, "I understand your nervous, but always remember that I love you and I'll help defend you to the end..." he said sweetly, he didn't seem to be the type that blushed as much as he used to. Probably he had fully confessed his feelings for her...

Terra then said, "Alright quit it love birds time for your sword fight training..." Terra suddenly had 2 sabers in his hands, he passed one to Chara... And gave the other one to Kyo...

They were shocked!

Kyo said, "I can't fight Chara!"

Terra said, "you may need to fight someone you love to save them..."

Chara knew that... So she had prepared herself... She wished she didn't have to.. But there was no choice... She began to practice without fighting to hard... She couldn't hurt Kyo... Never...

Terra watched this fight of no end, no one getting hurt at all... He sighed, "let's stop... Besides we got to practice now the routines for the ball tonight.."

Kyo sighed in relief in unison with Chara... After a momment he took her hand and said, "Come on Chara, we need to help you get ready to do the waltz, other wise your ready..."

Chara blushed as he led her to the ballroom...

He then pulled her close and prepared her for the dance. Right before the music began he whispered, "just follow my lead... And don't worry, if you need to fall... I'll catch you..." his voice softened.

Chara blushed, nodded, and began to follow his lead.... More than once she ended up stepping on his toes but he bearded it well. After awhile they managed to do spins and dips, and other moves that Chara NEVER thought she could do...

 As they entered one last dip... Chara whispered to Kyo... "I love you..."

"And I love you... He said preparing himself to kiss her... But before they did... The carriage driver spoke through the magic speakers, "We will be arriving at the ball in 2 hours, it is recommended that everyone attending to prepare for it..."

Kyo backed away and said, "I'll save that moment for later..." Chara blushed and said, "I'm going to hold you to that..."

Soon the carriage driver calls, "all attendants please meet in the entrance hall... We will be at the gate in a few minutes..."

The boys were all in their tuxes, They waited anxious to see what Chara looked like... Then light music began to play. They all turn to see... The most beautiful girl they ever laid eyes on... 

Chara's hair was pulled up, she wore a beautiful light pink dress with gems around the hem and decorated everything! The same type of jewel was used in her beautiful collar necklace and earrings surrounded in gold. And her make-up was so well do it preserved her beautiful image but enhanced her assets.

She slowly walked down the beautiful flight of stairs, revealing her lace gloves as she slowly walked... She of course was blushing her signature blush which made her cuter in appearance as she asked, "D-do I look odd?..."

Kyo's face was pure red, "No... It's just... You look so beautiful..."

"r-really... I never pictured myself in this type of outfit so it's nice..."

He pulled her close to him, "Perfect though... That's what you are..."

Chara blushed harder, "Gah!" she thought, "t-thanks..." she said blushing

He took her arm while the others smiled, jealous, but happy for the two of them.

Soon they walked to the entrance of a beautiful crystal palace. Chara was extremely nervous as she was representing the queen... And as they walked, suddenly Chara overheard two ladies talking, "Isn't that the alleged Chara Nomeco?" one asked

"It is alright, she supposedly won the affections of the king and queen even though she's an orphaned witch!"

"Really!? I did hear she had a magical voice but I didn't think it was serious..."

"She will never belong in my book..."

Chara looked down sad... Shiro instantly saw this and gave the women who said it an evil glare...

Shin and Terra frowned hearing what the women were saying...

As for Kyo, he placed his spare hand on her head and said, "Don't listen to them... They don't know you like we do..."

Shin added, "You do belong with us princess... And never think otherwise..."

Chara blushed, "You guys..."

Suddenly an announcement was called, "And now, prince Shin, prince Kyo, Terra the wizard, Doctor Shiro, and finally, Princess Chara Nomeco..."

Chara gulped as everyone entered... Kyo held her arm and guided her down...

Chara felt so odd to be treated like this... People were bowing to her... She truly felt like Cinderella.

When they all reached the end of the room to where the king and queen of the kingdom sat.

The King of the kingdom of crystaria asked, "Are you representing the queen tonight?..."

"... Yes sir..."

"Then we welcome you with a large amount of respect toward you..."

"I thank you for that..." she said

Kyo smiled and while standing next to this beautiful princess... And then grabeed her hand and pulled her toward the center of the ballroom and pulled her close to him...

"you ready?..." he asked

Chars face was now pure red as they soon blew people away by the gracefulness of the dance. Chara stared into his eyes filled with passion...soon they reached the dip that caused him to lean toward her and kiss her....

Chara kissed him passionately, afterwards though the lights suddenly went black... Chara realized suddenly as the lights flashed back on... Kyo was gone, "Kyo?.... Kyo!?" Chara yelled before hearing a female laugh...

"Chara Nomeco... The melody cat.... We meet at last..."

"Who are you!? Where is Kyo!?" Chara yelled furious

Suddenly a girl with dark fox qualities... Her body tattooed with glowing blues signs of the kitsune gods... That's when Chara realized, "Your the reincarnation of the dark fox... Only difference from the tale is that your challenging me yourself..."

"Hmph... I princess takane have never been so insulted to see a lowly orphan become so well respected!...."

Chara didnt flinch... She simply yelled, "Where's Kyo!?" she said angrily...

Takane simply smirked, "Kyo... Kill her!"

Chara heard footsteps and flipped over Kyo's charging body... She landed on her feet yelling... "Kyo!? What's wrong!?"

Takane laugh, "I planted a fox spirit to control his mind... Now, beat the one you love in battle to free his mind, them meet me alone at my castle at the other side of this country and we can finish this..."

Takane disappeared as Chara then prepared herself for battle.

Chara raised her hand up and began to chant her spell, "Light of kindness and love, help me defend those important to me...

Her sword appeared and landed in her and before she pulled out her pendant,

 "...I summon the power of the melody cat!" she shouted as she placed the pendant in the slot of her sword...

Suddenly her whole body was surrounded by light as she transformed into her fighter style. Finishing it with a pose...

She changed just in time to stop Kyo from striking again. Chara began to yell "Kyo! This isn't you, fight it!"

But Kyo seemed to distant in control to even hear her, his eyes had lost color and light... Chara knew she had to do something... But could she fight the man she loved?...

Terra, shin, and Shiro wanted desperately to help, but the knew that Chara had to fight alone... So they quickly began to evacuate al the guests out of the castle

Chara suddenly got hit hard by the hilt of Kyo's blade... So Chara flew against a wall hard... Chara looked up and revealed her cat eyes and began to sing once more...

Kyo heard this and began to cringe, it was getting to him... But Chara moved so quickly and efficiently that she managed to hurt him bad enough to knock him out... But Chara stopped herself as to not kill him... Crying she ran over to him, "Kyo!? Kyo, wake up! I'm sorry! I'm sorry... You almost died because of me, you almost lost your soul power because of me, you could have.... You could have..." her tears became sobs, unable to control herself...

Suddenly she felt a hand on her cheek... A Kyo said, "never blame yourself... You saved me from darkness... In any case I should thank you... In order to do that though..." he then began to pull her close to him as he then kissed her lips gently... "I love you... Promise me though that when you fight takane you will be alright?..."

Chara nodded before she noticed a necklace made of crystal was being held by the queen of crystaria, "Prince Kyo, you requested for us to give Chara this necklace to help light her way and help us also see her fight..."

"yes..." Kyo said while slowly sitting up... As Chara supported him.

The queen spoke, "we all decided to accept your request... As a gift from us..."

Kyo took the necklace and placed it over Charas neck... And said, "a gift from all of us..." Chara blushed as he then whispered, "won't be able to give you my gift personally, but the family wants to give you some charms each of us made for your battle...." he then fell again but Chara caught him with ease... And with the help of the others,  they carried him to e carriage.

The carriage driver went full speed toward Takane's castle

Terra walked up to Chara who was waiting to step outside to fight her final fight... Chara said without even turning around, "Terra... I want to thank you and everyone else here.... But I told the driver to stop half way there... I'm going in alone because I don't anyone else hurt because of me... And I understand that I may never come back... But.... I..."

Terra walked up and hugged her from behind... "you must be the bravest princess in the world..."

"Thank you terra... And I know you already placed the 4 new charms everyone made on my bracelet...."

Terra smirked, "you are correct, and I'll explain each...

The fire lion is my charm, it will engulf your sword in flames, increasing your strength...

The white owl is Shiro's, this charm will not only give you white wings, but also will heal certain wounds

The yellow feather is Shin's, created as a shield of feathers that can block multiple attacks

And as for Kyo... The wolf with the heart on his forehead.... He requests that you find that out on your own..."

"... Ok..." the carriage. Ame to a stop and everyone ran to see Chara off... She looked at them and said, "Thank you.... All of you... For the first time in my life, people are concerned and they are worrying about me... Love me even... Which is why... Why I want to fight, to protect the ones I love as well..."

Kyo walked up and kissed her, "Please return to us soon... Ok?..."

Chara hugged him, "I can't promise that... But you will always be in my heart... You understand..."

Kyo cried lightly, "my brave princess..."

Chara quickly saw the door of the carriage and jumped out running toward the castle at her fastest speed possible. As she grew closer and closer she began to sing to give her courage.... As she got closer she began to see soldiers blocking her path, she quickly jumped over them and easily knocked them out as she continued to run and sing her song.

Back at the carriage everyone was looking through a giant crystal to see what was going on... Kyo praying things would go alright as he watched his beloved princess fight so bravely.

Chara soon reached the ballroom... And saw takane standing there waiting for her. "I'm glad you made it melody cat..."

"Takane... I'm ending your reign... I know it was you who killed all of my villagers.... I know you dis it to try and not fight me!"

"Very clever cat... But enough talk... It time to take the power that should belong only to me!" Takane's flaming tails began to make a giant smokescreen, so Chara quickly activated the raven's eye ability, but it was to late, Takane had already kicked her so hard that she ran into a wall hard...

Takene smirked.... Until the eye of the basilisk charm activated.... She couldn't move. With her eyes now as cat slits, Chara quickly used this opportunity to strike... But for some reason, Takane's tails were blocking her sword with every swing... Until she once again was about to get punched again... But Chara instinctively activated her new feather charm made by Shin... So the impact only pushed her back a few feet...

Everyone grew increasingly worried... Kyo in particular... "We had promised her she didn't have to fight... And now..."

Shin sighed, "I know Kyo... We all love Chara, and don't want her hurt... But now it's her time..."

 Chara then noticed takane was now using her magic to fly in the air and increase her tail strength... So Chara activated both her white owl, and flame lion charms. Suddenly not only did her minor injuries heal, but also she had angelic wings on her back and her sword had burning red flames. Chara began to sing also and began the first attack.

As everyone from all over began to watch crystals to view the amazing fight as the two began to just clash... Chara felt the eyes of the world on her... All of them routing for her... She knew she had to win...

After almost an hour of constant clashing, Chara's Charms wore off... Takane's power did not... Chara only had one charm left... Kyo's...

Chara held it up and activated it, hoping it would turn out well...

Soon... A wolf like spirit stood in front of Chara... And then kyo's voice spoke out from the wolf, "Chara... I saw everything... This charm will help you get some rest to return you strength... But also... I needed to ask you something... The necklace your wearing..."

"What about it?..."

"In many counties it is also an engagement necklace... Chara... When this is over... I want an answer to my request..." soon the wolf charged at Takane as he yelled, "Marry me Chara!"

Charas heart pounded like crazy. She instantly knew her answer... So she had to win! She just had to! So instead of resting... She ran before the wolf could strike and began to fight even harder... Singing her most passionate song ever...

Takane was now for once scared... The battle was equally challenging for both fighters... But then it became time to deal the final blow... They strikes... Then... They both fell...

Kyo saw this from the crystal and began to run as fast as possible... "Chara!? Chara!?" he yelled as he entered the castle and soon found the almost dead princess before him... He runs and kneels down lifting her up... "Chara!? Come on wake up!?... Chara... You cant die!... I need you to live my life... I need you... I love you... And it isn't just me... Everyone wants you to stay... Chara..."

He then leaned down and gently kissed her... Afterwards... Nothing happened.... Kyo cried even more and almost turned away, but he felt something grab his hand... He turned back towards the now awakening princess she smiled, "My prince... Am I worthy to be graced by one so sweet and compassionate as you.?..."

Kyo smiled and brought her toward him for a chance to embrace... "I don't deserve a princess like you..."

"I'm not a true princess though!... Would even asking me to be with you forever not allowed?..."

Kyo smiled, "You are a blood born princess, the princess of your old village... Terra told me... Therefor..."

He got on one knee, "princess I wish to help you lead your future kingdom due to the love in my heart... So I humbly ask for your hand..."

Chara first confused about her royal heritage but soon realizing that this was reality she hugged Kyo tightly while saying, "YES! YES! YES!"

The two then kissed passionately

In a years time, peace remained between kingdoms... The citizens from other kingdoms that truly either admire or adored Chara joined the kingdom that she and Kyo gave birth to...

After the king and queen died, Shin became king of the previous kingdom with Terra as his personal advisor.

Shiro became the most successful doctor in all of the kingdoms....

Ragde ran his kingdom with the same compassion he had promised to Chara

Voldar also became a powerful king that promised to protect all the good kingdoms around the world... Particularly Chara's
